Jason Mraz is a surfing celebrity

American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz started surfing in Hawaii when he was 28 years old and became a passionate aficionado ever since.

He is a close friend of surfer Jesse Billauer and a supporter of his "Life Rolls On" foundation.

Mraz has been surf travelling through several places in the world. In 2010, he was announced as the Surfing Industry Manufacturers Association's Humanitarian of the Year.

Jason Mraz was born on the 23rd June, 1977, in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

He released his first album, "Waiting for My rocket to Come", in 2002, and achieved great success in the US with his second album "Mr. A-Z", in 2005.

International recognition came with the hit single "I'm Yours", from his third album "We sing. We Dance. We Steal Things".

In 2010, the famous musician created the Jason Mraz Foundation with the purpose of supporting several charities with which he has been involved.
