Jennifer Lawrence: wiping out big time

Academy awarded actress Jennifer Lawrence has been spotted surfing in Los Angeles, in 2012.

She recently revealed that she took a break from the sport after an accident in the water. She was hit in the head by her own surfboard, causing a temporary memory loss.

Lawrence landed her first leading role in "The Bill Engvall Show" (2007-2009) and later moved on to film appearances.

Her performance in "Winter's Bone", in 2010, led to her first Academy Award nomination and her role in "Silver Linings Playbook", 2012, granted her both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress.

The third Academy nomination came in 2013, for her part in "American Hustle", for which she was also awarded a Bafta Award and a Golden Globe Award.

Jennifer Lawrence is best known for her leading role as Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games" trilogy.
