Jimmy Buffett: focused surfer

Jimmy Buffet is a very active surfer. The veteran singer-songwriter surfs every time he has an opportunity and is frequently seen in the water while seeking inspiration for new songs.

In 2009, Jimmy brought James O'Mahouney’s surf collection to Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber, creating the Honululu Surfing Museum.

Buffett was born on December 25th, 1946, in Mississipi.

He started his musical career in the 1960’s, in Nashville. He recorded his first album, "Down to Earth", in 1970.

The hit song "Margaritaville" from his seventh album, the best-selling of his career, brought him wider recognition and mainstream success.

With his party hits and beach lifestyle he gathered a loyal fan base, best known as "Parrotheads".

Besides being an accomplished musician, Buffett is also an environmental activist, a successful businessman and best-selling writer.
