Tanna Frederick is a very active celebrity with a big passion for surf.
The talented actress and environmentalist discovered surfing when she moved to California.
In 2007, she co-founded the "Project Save Our Surf", dedicated to ocean conservation, with a deep connection to surfing.
Frederick was born on the 11th August, 1979, in Mason City, Iowa.
She majored in theater and political science at the University of Iowa. By that time, she regularly performed in theaters.
In 1999, she graduated in liberal arts and moved to L.A, where she continued to perform on stage and eventually started working with Henry Jaglom.
Her first film appearance occurred in 2002, in "Inescapable". In 2006, her performance in Jaglom's "Hollywood Dreams" was critically acclaimed and led to several film festival awards.
In 2009, she starred in "Just 45 Minutes From Broadway" at the Edgemar Center for the Arts, in Santa Monica, and in 2012, she performed in the film adaptation of the play. She also participated in "Hollywood Dreams" sequel, "Queen of the Lot", in 2010.
Although she is best known for her stage and independent film career, Tanna Frederick is also the founder of "Iowa Independent Film Festival", a writer, producer and marathon runner.
