Espinho: a fast right-hand point break

The Espinho Surf Destination Pro Junior has been added to the 2014 ASP European Pro Junior Series, both in the Men and Women's divisions.

The event will take place between June 26th-29th, in Praia da Baía, in Espinho, Portugal. The fast right-hand point break allows spectacular tube rides, mostly during large swells.

"Over the years we have had some great ASP events held in Espinho and we are excited to see Europe's top juniors take on the quality waves found there," says Rob Gunning, ASP Europe tour manager.

"Portugal has and is continuing to develop some of Europe's and the world's best surfers. The Espinho Surf Destination Pro Junior will allow Portugal's current and up-and-coming juniors to showcase their talents on home soil, gain important junior ranking points at this ASP Europe Pro Junior season opener."

Espinho is located in the North of Portugal, an underrated surfing region where heavy barrels and fast bottom turns coexist. Although the water temperature is lower than in the South, there are plenty of consistent wave breaks, alongside outstanding gastronomy and cultural events.

Whether you think of a kite as a wing or a sail, you want it to be lightweight, resistant, waterproof, but also stiff and flexible at the same time, so that they could respond to all flight requests.
