Ribeira d'Ilhas, Ericeira: European surfing capital | Photo: Tó Mané

Surf photographer Tó Mané is hosting an innovative photo in the waves of Ribeira d'Ilhas, in Ericeira, Portugal.

Hailed as the European surfing capital, Ericeira is a World Surfing Reserve since 2011. The multiple surf breaks, which includes Ribeira d'Ilhas and Coxos, have been explored since the mid-1970s.

Tó Mané, the man who photographed Garrett McNamara's stunt in the giant waves of Praia do Norte, in Nazaré, will put out a lifetime experience for professional and amateur surf photographers.

The Ericeira Photo Camp will get enthusiasts sharing photographic experiences between September 1st-7th. The Portuguese surf photographer will introduce the excellent people, surf and the landscapes of the Ericeira to the participants.

"This will be an opportunity to make a portfolio of photographs of this surf culture and amazingly human, vibrant, and passionate people," explains Tó Mané.

"This educational exchange offers participants the chance to be a part of the amazing surf spirit and passion for living the Ericeira locals have to offer."

All surf photographers will be welcomed by João Guedes, a former Portuguese national surfing champion, in the Community Surf Hostel Ericeira.
