The last 24 surfers of the Cascais Billabong Pro 2014 have been decided, in stormy conditions, at Guincho.

It has been one of the toughest Prime events of the season. The world's best wave riders battled challenging maritime conditions in the Portuguese windsurfing capital. Four Dream Tour surfers went down during Round 2.

That was not the case of Adriano De Souza, who displayed his beach break knowledge to earn the day's highest single-wave score of a 9.50 out of 10.

"I'm surfing relaxed, getting off that pressure from the WCT and this event for me is a good opportunity to surf and have fun. The waves have been giant down here, but every time I go out I've gotten lucky to find good waves," says De Souza.

Brett Simpson caught a big, deep barrel to collect an 8.10 and, with only minutes on the clock, performed two hacks for the buzzer-beater moment.

"I was behind the ball and with that wave I just tried to pull my inner John John out. I gave it a go, and I needed something to change my momentum as I was definitely not having a good one until I was able to get that wave that put me right back in it," added Simpson.
