Kai Lenny is the 2014 Stand Up World Tour champion. The Hawaiian waterman secured a back-to-back title in a dramatic season finish, at La Torche, France.

Drama, tension, tears and joy. Lenny watched from the beach as Zane Schweitzer put an end to Caio Vaz's world title hopes in the quarterfinals of the La Torche Pro France 2014.

Vaz was the only rider who could stop Kai from winning the title. Both world tour title contenders were posting the highest heat score totals of the event through the opening rounds and up to the quarterfinals.

But with Kai in the semifinals, Caio had to keep up his good work. Unfortunately for him, waves didn't come, and Zane got through. Lenny jumped and celebrated a fourth Stand Up World Tour crown on the beach.

"After an incredible year competing on the Stand Up World Tour, I managed to defend my title as world champion! As you can imagine, I'm super stoked!" says Kai Lenny.

"It has also been a pleasure to compete against Caio Vaz for the world title the past two years. He is an insane competitor and for obvious reasons one of the best stand up surfers in the world!"

Sean Poynter ended up winning the La Torche Pro France 2014, while Izzi Gomez stole the event and the 2014 Women's Stand Up World Tour title.
