Alex Ribeiro: not needing new sponsors | Photo: ASP

Alex Ribeiro has claimed the Mahalo Surf Eco Festival 2014, held in Itacare, Brazil.

Ribeiro is ready to celebrate the 2014 ASP South American title, after a stunning performance in Bahia. The Brazilian surfer defeated Paul Cesar Distinguin, in a low scoring final, and heads to the O'Neill SP Prime with confidence.

"I'm so proud to represent Brazil with this victory here in Itacare. It's my second victory this year, so I'm stoked. My board has been feeling great for these kinds of waves, so everything's been working out well for me," explains Ribeiro.

"Next up is the Prime event in Maresias where I hope to claim the South American title. But before that I want to go home to celebrate this victory with my friends and family. It wasn't easy at all."

Tatiana Weston-Webb won the Women's division after defeating Alessa Quizon by a score of 14.70 to 13.60, at Praia da Tiririca. Both surfers are lined up for the upcoming 2015 World Championship Tour.

"I think I got luckier with wave selection in the final and I'm stoked with the win. Now I need to start thinking about the WCT next year, and I hope it's an amazing year for me," concluded Weston-Webb.

Whether you think of a kite as a wing or a sail, you want it to be lightweight, resistant, waterproof, but also stiff and flexible at the same time, so that they could respond to all flight requests.
