Lithuania and US Virgin Islands are the 92nd and 93rd member federations of the International Surfing Association (ISA).

Surfing is everywhere, and the governing body led by Fernando Aguerre is quickly spreading the stoke and the values of the sport throughout the world.

Lithuania offers 99 kilometers of sandy coastline and numerous lagoons, lakes, rivers and wetlands where surfers and stand up paddleboarders can enjoy the pleasures of water sports.

The Lithuanian Extreme Sports Federation has been hosting windsurfing and kiteboarding events for many years, so the newest additions will surely boost the active lifestyle in the European country.

The US Virgin Islands, known for its white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, are located in the Atlantic Ocean, a mere 64 kilometers east of Puerto Rico. The United States Virgin Islands Surfing Association will set up new challenges for the multiple surf clubs of the archipelago.

"The ISA's mission is to develop surfing globally and through the addition of these new ISA member nations we are able to spread surfing's core values, excitement and vision that the sport represents," underlines Aguerre, president of ISA.
