Casio announced the launch of a new surf watch. The G-Shock G-Lide GAX100 weighs only 69 grams, but it is as sturdy as you need it to be.

Tough, durable, and efficient. The Casio G-Shock G-Lide GAX100 is a helpful tool for surfers who need to monitor tide times and moon phases before hitting the waves.

Depending on the model, the display text appears either as dark figures on a light background or light figures on a dark background.

The watch features four buttons for adjusting settings and mode functions, as well as performing reverse and forward tasks.

The G-Lide GAX100 has all the classic functions of a timeless Casio - timekeeping (with daylight saving time option), stopwatch, countdown timer, world time, alarm, and illumination.

If you need to examine the digital tide and moon data at night, we recommend you get the dark figures model because the watch's LED light will only allow you to check the rotating pointers.

Interestingly, the GAX100 features an auto light switch that turns on illumination automatically when you angle the watch towards you.

Precise Tide Data

The new surf watch by Casio also presents an analog tide graph, which immediately tells you the current tide level.

But you can also view the tide and moon data for a particular date and time via digital display.

Fortunately, the watch allows you to get precise tide data for your local spot.

All you need to do is set the next high tide time, and from that moment on, the watch will deliver precise information on low and high tide times at your favorite break.

The Casio G-Shock G-Lide GAX100 is Rip Curl Trestles Oceansearch's toughest rival, and it even adds an interesting function - temperature measurement.

Whether you're in or out of the water, Casio's thermometer will tell you how hot or cold is the environment around you in either Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees.

The watch is water-resistant to 200 meters (20 Bar), and the wristband is strong and flexible. Programming and customizing Casio's latest timepiece will only take a few minutes.

The Casio G-Shock G-Lide GAX100 retails at under $150; it is available in six colors and will certainly impress for its robustness and simplicity.

It is one of the best surf watches in the world.
