Four surfers have confirmed their spot in the quarterfinals of the 2017 Outerknown Fiji Pro.

The non-elimination round at Cloudbreak brought a few surprises, but Matt Wilkinson played a smart game in a tricky heat against Julian Wilson and Ian Gouveia. It's clear he wants the yellow jersey.

"I've just been free surfing and keeping busy on those lay days, but stoked to get it back on and get some fun waves. Before last year, I'd never really had a big result here. To get to that final last year was a pretty good confidence boost for me for this year," explained Wilkinson.

Michel Bourez also stepped up his game in the four-to-five waves. The Tahitian got the best two-wave total of Round 4, including an excellent ride scored with a 9.00.

"I got some little barrels before, but I could not get any scores on them, so I told myself not to stall but to do some turns. I wish I made my last turn, but it is how it goes," added Bourez.

Connor O'Leary continued his dream run at Cloudbreak sending Joan Duru and Joel Parkinson to Round 5. Can the Australian take the title?

"I am over the moon. I was stoked to make it through that third round yesterday, but now I am beyond stoked. The waves are pumping, and everyone is ripping, so it is great to be a part of it," concluded O'Leary.
