The 2018 Margaret River Pro will be completed in Uluwatu, on the island of Bali, Indonesia.

The third stop on the 2018 World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour was canceled last month due to shark activity near the competition site at Main Break.

Sophie Goldschmidt, CEO of WSL, revealed that Round 3 of the Men's and quarterfinals of the Wommen will get underway 48 hours after the conclusion of the 2018 Corona Bali Pro at Keramas, and will crown a champion until June 13.

In other words, the final heats at the iconic surf break of Uluwatu will be run before the Corona Open J-Bay (July 2-13). Surfers will have 20 days to pack up, travel and train at Supertubes, in South Africa.

"After consulting with Surfing Western Australia, we felt that returning was not in the best interests of the surfers this season. We explored various alternatives before deciding to invest in completing the event at Uluwatu," said Goldschmidt.

Uluwatu is one of the best surf breaks in Indonesia. It works with a wide variety of swell and wind conditions and offers plenty of left-hand barreling waves.

Nevertheless, favorable SW swells and SE winds can turn this reef break into a surfing heaven.
