Haleiwa, Hawaii

Hawaiian surf legend Marvin Foster has died, Tuesday, in Haleiwa.

The respected big wave surfer was found by his brother but the causes of death are still unknown.

The 49-year-old was a tube riding master and had developed a special technique for backside barrels.

Also known as "Carvin Marvin", Foster was one of the most influential surfers of the 80's, having starred in the movie "The Performers", during the Hawaiian winter of 1982/83.

Marvin Foster will always be remembered in the Hawaiian line-up.
