Laird Hamilton and Gabby Reece: the proof of the tragedy

Laird Hamilton and his wife Gabrielle Reece have visited the Gulf area affected by the BP oil spill.

The waterman was granted permission to fly over the disaster and to get in touch with the infected waters.

Hamilton and Reece had the opportunity to understand the dimension of the tragedy with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) staff members.

The Deepwater Horizon spill is enormous and has inflicted serious damage on the ecosystem.

"It seems no one knows what to do, and that's scary. Being sad is the first emotion, but then be active and participate", said Laird Hamilton.

If you live in the affected area, send us your pictures of the damage done to our beaches.
