Surfski: they even drop in like we do

Many wave riders have already witnessed this new sport in our oceans. It's called Surfski.

Basically, it is an open kayak specially designed to get the most of wind and waves. It can reach 25 km/h.

The IC Surfski World Cup 2010 - Nelo Summer Challenge will be held in Azurara, Vila do Conde, Portugal, between 27th and 28th August.

250 competitors from 25 countries are expected to hit one of the best surfing spots in the North of Portugal.

The total prize money will reach €29,950, which is quite high for a new water sport event. Corecork, BES and DB Schenker are the main sponsors.

Whether you think of a kite as a wing or a sail, you want it to be lightweight, resistant, waterproof, but also stiff and flexible at the same time, so that they could respond to all flight requests.
