Olukai: nice brand

Up to 700 surf industry professionals have gathered for the 8th Surf Industry Manufacturers Association Image Awards. The best surf brands and the outstanding surf products were awarded many trophies.

OluKai was considered "Breakthrough Brand of the Year", while Hobie won "Breakthrough Retailer of the Year". The SIMA Image Awards got underway at at the House of Blues Anaheim.

"It was amazing. Not only is it clear that the SIMA Image Awards themselves have become truly meaningful to those brands and products getting the deserved recognition, but we also succeeded in adding hundreds of more surf industry members to the mix by moving the event to Orange County," says Doug Palladini, SIMA President and Vans' VP of Marketing.
