Apstik: the iPad surfboard

Apstik is the gadget that will drive your feet to the ultimate gaming experience. The "Surf Your App" iPad game accessory lets you control surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding video games by applying your body balance to a special board.

This laminated wood platform mounted on a dense foam pad enables you to operate iPad accelerometer game apps with your body. Initially, it was designed to the "Wildcard Pro Surfing" and "Shaun White Snowboarding" apps, but it may be used in electronic games to be released in the near future.

The surf gadget allows you to stand on the board and lean in the direction you want your character to move, and the iPad's accelerometer will do the rest. Watch the Apstik in action.

When you think everything has already been invented, there you go. The Apstik iPad game board goes in the direction of SurferToday's predictions of how the future surfboards will be, in the next decades.

A nice pair socks is probably the best way to test the Apstik. If you still don't own the surf gadget, improve your finger skills with our online collection of surfing games.
