X Games: extreme surfing in da house

The X Games Real Surf is the newest addition to the iconic extreme sports insignia. Paradisiac locations and innovative surfers are in the bowl.

The new X Games Real Surf concept pooled eight of the most talented performers the world over and asked them to assemble the most potent video edits possible.

Kelly Slater and free surfing freak Matt Meola, have taken the challenge, alongside with Julian Wilson, Josh Kerr, Chippa Wilson, Dion Agius and Gabriel Medina.

The best surfers in the world will be sharing their best performances with X Games. Backflips, aerial, radical carves and endless tube rides will be on film.

From old-school surf cinema to the modern-day Vimeo clip, monumental performances are spread, new locations revealed, divergent equipment shared, and the progression of the sport and the art of surfing march ever forward, documented throughout.

The Real Surf series gets underway with Round 1 voting on April 2nd. Winners will be announced during X Games Brazil, between April 18th-21st.
