Iceland: perfect waves in cold waters

The Nixon Surf Challenge will be taking place in Iceland, from May 13th-19th.

The Nixon Surf Challenge emphasizes free-surfing, style and a relaxed atmosphere in order to push the sport to the next level. In the end the, surfers decide themselves who receives the much sought-after trophy for the best trick and the overall winner, based on Nixon's distinct method of team voting.

The 2013 edition will see Benjamin Sanchis, Chippa Wilson, Eric Rebière, Fergal Smith, Gony Zubizarreta, Jonathan Gonzalez, José Maria Cabrera, Kepa Acero, Marc Lacomare, Marlon Lipke, Miky Picon and Vincent Duvignac fighting for victory.

In more than 10 years, the Nixon Surf Challenge developed from a casual get-together of befriended surfers sharing some waves together into a highly-anticipated, top-class surfing event discovering unexplored destinations.

Uniting the best of their discipline, living legends, classic chargers and young guns get together to showcase smashing surfing skills, at extraordinary locations, far from the usual setting of a surf trip.

Whether you think of a kite as a wing or a sail, you want it to be lightweight, resistant, waterproof, but also stiff and flexible at the same time, so that they could respond to all flight requests.
