Peter Devries: king of the Tofino waves

Peter Devries has reconquered the Rip Curl Pro Tofino 2013, at Cox Bay, Canada.

It's never easy to reclaim a victory in a surfing event. Peter Devries made it possible, under ideal wave and weather conditions, in British Columbia.

Four-time champion Devries surfed against top ranked Canadian professionals Noah Cohan, Sepp Bruhwiler and Australian Ben Murphy.

The final four moved through three rounds, beating out more than 40 other surfers who came to the beach to compete for the $12,500 prize purse - the largest prize purse in Canada.

"Thanks for another great event! I'm stoked to take another final. Great surfing Sepp Bruhwiler, Noah Cohen and Ben Murphy", the winner tweeted.

Recently sanctioned by the Canadian Surfing Association (CSA), the Rip Curl Pro Tofino is now the official Canadian Surfing Championship.
