Thundercloud: do you remember June 8th, 2012

"Thundercloud" promises to showcase the largest swell ever surfed in Cloudbreak, Fiji.

June 8th, 2012, will remain in the memory of all surfers who were at Cloudbreak for the ASP World Championship Tour. A swell of massive proportions arrived at the left-hander to ignite the surf.

History was in the making. A tight knit group of the world's best big wave surfers were aware of the forecast swell and also converged on the break that the ancient Fijians called Thundercloud Reef.

"Thundercloud" is a documentary about the spot. It takes a brief look at the history of Cloudbreak, investigates the change of decree that lead to the reefs in the region becoming non-exclusive, and hears the accounts of the best surfers in the world that chose to brave the conditions on June 8th, 2012.

"Within Thundercloud I want to be able to show off the awesome power of what God has created for His glory so that people the world over can marvel at the spectacle and appreciate what men challenge themselves with", explains director Talon Clemow.

The surf movie also features the dark history of the area, re-enacting the murder of King Ratu Imanueli, that lead to the island of Tavarua being handed over to the opposing tribe as a peace offering.
