Aritz Aranburu has confirmed a spot in the upcoming 2014 ASP World Championship Tour (WCT).

The surfer from the Basque Country, Spain, has secured a ticket to the elite club of surfing, in the 2014 season. On the other side of fate, Damien Hobgood says goodbye to the Dream Tour.

Aritz Aranburu, 28, had already made his debut on the ASP World Championship Tour, in 2008. The Zarautz surfer kept his hopes until the end of 2009, when he dropped to the World Qualifying Series.

"I couldn't be happier. It's a dream made reality. I had already made it six years but, now, I would love to enjoy it a bit more", Aritz said, right after hearing the good news.

Aranburu is the only Spanish surfer to have ever earned a spot in the ASP World Championship Tour. The natural-footer is a an all round surfer. He's used to small and big surf, fat and steep drops.

Aritz Aranburu, also known as "Potxoka", was born on 30th August, 1985. He was crowned European surfing champion in 2007.

When you reach the "End of the Road," you're all by yourself. Are you sure you're ready to get barreled at Tahiti's infamous Teahupoo?
