Snupboarding: when SUP slides down the snowy slope | Photo: Mirjageh.com

You might not find ocean waves in Austria, but prepare your SUP board because snupboarding has been born.

Rob Machado has already tried the "Fish Out of Water", the snow surfboard or surf snowboard. It worked.

Now, there's another crossover. Snupboarding? Can you figure it out? Correct. Get a stand-up paddle board (SUP), and add snow. Ready for slope time?

Wolfgang Leeb, owner of the SUP Center Salzkammergut, in Austria, decided it was time to blend SUP with the snowy mountains.

The exciting news, unveiled by our friends at Boarders magazine, will certainly boost the booked trips to the cold cliffs of Austria.

Apparently, snupboarders can take their standard SUP gear to the mountain. The standard water paddle will easily tear the snow, but make sure you don't forget the helmet, and proper winter clothing.
