Brixton is the "Breakout Brand of the Year"

Brixton has been named the "Breakout Brand of the Year" at the 2013 SIMA Image Awards, in California.

With 80 nominees representing the best of the surf industry and a total of 850 attendees, the 2013 SIMA Image Awards ceremony crowned several products, brands and services.

The Flash Bomb by Rip Curl has been considered the "Wetsuit of the Year", Phantom Fuse by Hurley got the "Men's Boardshort of the Year" trophy.

The Supertide surf watch by Nixon won the "Accessory Product of the Year", while Neckbeard Squash by Channel Islands conquered the "Surfboard of the Year" trophy.

O'Neill took one award for its marketing efforts with the "60 Years of Innovation" campaign and Roxy stole another title for "Let the Sea Set You Free".

"Innovation and excellence help keep the surf industry vibrant, and to recognize those achievements in our products, businesses, and our employees – the creative minds that keep our products and brands original – is very important", says Doug Palladini, SIMA President.

"We're proud to see the SIMA Image Awards program continue to grow in prominence with more and more entries each year. It's really a competitive program".
