Curl Curl Beach welcomes the Student Surfing Festival

Surf students: always willing to learn

Eighty students from Australia, Brazil, New Zealand, France, Spain, Italy, Colombia and Japan will participate in the Student Surfing Festival, to be held in Sydney on the 12th and 13th of February. Students from all over the planet will compete in the waves of Curl Curl Beach.

The open contest in a partnership between the Brazilian Surfing Institute (Ibrasurf), STB and Surfing NSW. All student surfers will compete in the following categories: University/Vocational Students, High School Students, Ladies Open and International Students.

The main purpose of this event is to integrate local and overseas students, promoting entertainment and cultural exchange between surfers from different nationalities.

Excellent prizes will be up for grabs including a round trip ticket to Bali, 12 days at The Surfing Village, in Pasti, Sumatra, Indonesia, five days at MojoSurfm, in Raglan, New Zealand, MG Surfboards and more.

The prime venue for the event is Curl Curl Beach, however the event is mobile depending on surf conditions with Dee Why Beach, the backup venue.
