Jack Robinson has taken out the 2019 Volcom Pipe Pro, at Pipeline, on the North Shore of Oahu, in Hawaii.

The 21-year-old Western Australian surfer defeated Barron Mamiya, Reef Heazlewood and Balaram Stack. The final got underway in perfect six-to-eight-foot surf.

"I'm elated. I can't believe it. It's a dream come true to win a contest at Pipeline. It's just a start. It's only early days," expressed Robinson.

En route to winning the Volcom Pipe Pro, Robinson locked in the second Perfect 10 score of the event after exiting a long and deep Backdoor barrel.

"It's a big feather in the cap against these guys. Everyone is so gnarly out here, and you've got to let the ocean see if it's your day."

To finish off an exciting surfing event, Kalani David received the Todd Chesser "Charger of the Event" Award from the hands of Todd's mother, Jeannie.

The Volcom Pipe Pro is a 3,000 Qualifying Series (QS) event.
