GoPro has announced the launch of the new GoPro Hero3+.

The GoPro Hero3+ is 20 percent smaller and lighter than its best-selling predecessor, and features new upgraded lens that are 33 percent sharper.

The surf camera company says the Hero3+ delivers improved image quality and powerful new features geared for versatility and convenience.

"SuperView is a new video mode that captures the world’s most immersive wide angle perspective, while Auto Low Light mode intelligently adjusts frame rate for stunning low-light performance", explain GoPro.

The new GoPro Hero3+ offers a 20 percent increase in battery life, and comes with a four-times faster built-in Wi-Fi.

The Auto Low Light mode intelligently adjusts frame rate for varying lighting conditions. In addition, GoPro announced several new mounting accessories that further enable immersive content capture during any activity.

The GoPro HERO3+: Black Edition can be yours for $399.99. The GoPro HERO3+: Silver Edition can be yours for $299.99.
