Polaroid Cube: small is beautiful

A new waterproof camera promises to challenge the GoPro domination. Meet Polaroid Cube, a tiny device with a 124° wide angle lens and 1080p HD video.

Polaroid Cube hits the market in September 2014. It will be the smallest surf camera ever, standing at just 35mm (1.37 inches).

With its six-megapixel photo CMOS sensor, Polaroid's Cube will compete directly with GoPro.

The brand, founded in 1937 by Edwin H. Land, became famous for the instant film cameras, but the digital revolution forced new adventures in photography and video.

Polaroid Cube comes with a magnet on the bottom so that you can rapidly pop it on any metal surface. The new waterproof camera comes with a complete line of accessories and mounts.

Surfers will be able to use the Polaroid Cube with a waterproof case and a suction mount that promises to replace 3M stickers and glued plastic pieces.

The small cube - shockproof and rubber-encased - supports Micro SD up to 32GB and has a built-in battery that records up to 90 minutes. It can be yours for only $100.
