Almost seven years after going online, SurferToday is opening a new page in its history. With nearly 10,000 articles and juicy surf content, the new website promises to keep SurferToday as a leading world surfing news source, read in over 220 countries.

"SurferToday is currently one of the most reliable surfing news websites in the world. We've managed to build a solid network of contacts in the water sports community, from the local club to the international level," explains Luis Madureira Pinto, founder of

"Every day, we wake up wanting to get from good to great, with the precious feedback from our daily readers. Fortunately, we've been growing steadily in last seven years, too."

The new website was developed by, a young and talented multimedia and communications agency based in Europe. Their work was critical, as they had to port the previous database into the new online mobile world of smartphones and tablets.

SurferToday is currently following six wave and water sports: surfing, kiteboarding, windsurfing, bodyboarding, skimboarding and wakeboarding. The website founded in 2007 also showcases the largest online collection of surf movies and surf books. will upgrade and review its main content to improve readers' experience throughout 2014.
