Owen Wright: 'a surf camp with my name on it... nice, hein?'

Fresh from winning the Boost Mobile SurfSho, world tour highflyer Owen Wright (Lennox Heads, NSW) is set to inspire the next generation of surfers these school holidays.

Surfing Australia’s High Performance Centre (HPC) is excited to announce a once in a lifetime opportunity for young surfers to meet and hang out with surfing ace Wright these April School Holidays.

Owen Wright, a 20-year old from Lennox Head (NSW) has competed against some of the biggest names in surfing and proven that he has the skills to compete and win against the best surfers in the world.

In 2009, Wright beat Kelly Slater twice and qualified for the 2010 ASP World Tour - last week he won the Boost Mobile SurfSho where he claimed a $25,000 cheque for his efforts.

The Rip Curl Owen Wright Surf camp will be the perfect opportunity for surfers to learn from this amazing surfer. The three day surf camp will run from April 12th – 14th and is open to boys and girls aged 8-17.

Each camp will include coaching from Australia’s finest fully accredited surf coaches, video analysis of each surfing session, product bags from Rip Curl and of course the opportunity to meet and surf with Owen Wright.

The camp will be based at the Surfing Australia HPC at Casuarina Beach which is just 15 minutes south of the Gold Coast.
