Thiago Camarao claimed the Oakley Lowers Pro Trials 2015, at Lower Trestles, California.

The Brazilian surfer and runner-up Ezequiel Lau were awarded highly-coveted spots into the main field of 96 surfers that will compete at the first World Surf League (WSL) QS10000 event of the year.

The Oakley Lowers Pro Trials were run in clean and glassy, one-to-three foot (0.5 metre) waves. Despite the small conditions, all eight surfers showed anything is possible when you've got talent.

"It's so great to have Lowers back on the QS schedule. It's such a performance wave, and it doesn't need much swell to be super rippable. Very thankful to be into the main event," expressed Camarao.

"I was out with an injury last year, so I need to battle for my spot in these QS10000 events this season. The goal is to build my seed and have enough opportunity to perform this year. I'm feeling healthy and focused and my boards feel great," added Lau.

The Oakley Lowers Pro 2015 will run from April 29th to May 2nd.
