In an exciting all-Australian final, Tyler Wright defeated Sally Fitzgibbons to claim the Oi Rio Women's Pro, at Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro.

Tyler Weight is en route to win the Women's Championship Tour title. She won three of the four events already run this year, and looks unstoppable.

"This is the best I've ever felt. Over the last six months so many things have happened and it has given me a lot of perspective on the way I want to run my career and surf my heats," said Tyler Wright.

Wright showed a fluid and smart surf. She opened her account with an 8.67-point wave, and backed it up with a final average ride. Fitzgibbons only caught four waves, and she ended up needing a 5.94.

"I am so excited to win here in Brazil. It is fun and there are so many things you need to take into account, and you have to just flow with it. I think this was the most challenging of any event and any final. It was hard work and I am stoked."

Tyler Wright is now the leader of the rankings table with 35,200 points. Courtney Conlogue is second with 32,500 points, and Carissa Moore sits in third place with 26,000 points. The next stop is Fiji Women's Pro.
