The underdogs have taken control of Cloudbreak. The Fiji Pro 2015 has reached the quarterfinals.

It was a marathon of surfing in giant 10-to-12 foot waves, but Owen Wright won't forget this day. The Australian locked in the seventh Perfect 20 in the history of pro surfing, in his Round 5 heat against Adam Melling.

"I'm absolutely blown away by how good it is out there. I never thought I'd ever get 20 points in my life, but there's so much opportunity out there. It feels great to accomplish it. It just feels great to get those waves. There's no better feeling," expressed Wright.

Brazilian charger Italo Ferreira once again eliminated Kelly Slater. After defeating the Floridian in the Gold Coast, Ferreira combined powerful carves with competent tube riding to send Slater home early.

"I can't believe it. Pretty hard with the waves out there. So happy to make another heat. I can't believe that I beat Kelly at Fiji. He's the best. I'm just really happy to make another heat," added Italo.

Jeremy Flores confirmed his spot on the quarterfinals after showcasing impressive commitment both within the barrel and throughout his turns to post an 18.70 in his Round 4 heat against Kai Otton and Adam Melling.

"It's a beautiful day at Cloudbreak and there are some really fun waves coming through. It's the first time I've made the Quarters in a long while, and I'm just going to keep enjoying myself and my surfing," concluded Flores.
