Hurley Pro: Lower Trestles at its best

The 2013 Hurley Pro kicks off with four wildcards playing their trumps at Lower Trestles, San Onofre State Beach, California.

Mitch Crews and Dane Reynolds had already been granted wilcards for the 2013 Hurley Pro but, due to injuries, additional local wildcards will join the event, including Ian Crane and Nate Yeomans.

"Best email I've received in my life", reveals Crane, after being contacted by Pat O'Connell, Hurley Pro contest director.

Lower Trestles is considered to be North America's most high-performance wave, offering some of the most consistent surf on the West Coast.

Tiago Pires, Glenn Hall, Owen Wright and Dusty Payne are still recovering from injuries and won't be able to surf Lower Trestles.

The 2013 Hurley Pro runs from September 15th-21st. The swell forecast shows very contestable, fun and rippable waist-chest high waves for the entire waiting period.
