Carissa Moore (Oahu, HAW), 15, won the Roxy Pro Junior, an Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) Grade-2 Pro Junior, after defeating Bianca Buitendag (ZAF), Justine Dupont (FRA) and Joahnne Defay (FRA) at La Cote des Basques in Biarritz.

Eric Rebiere (FRA), defending champion, was much awaited for his first paddle-out and the former ASP Top 45 member ended up winning with a solid 13.00 point heat tally (out of a possible 20).
