He has ridden some of the world's most dangerous surf breaks, including Waimea Bay and Mavericks. This was not his first time at Jaws/Peahi, too.

But the Floridian confirmed his all-round surfing skills and paddled into some of the biggest waves on offer. "It's amazing how big 'small' Jaws still is," joked Slater.

Waves are constantly breaking all over the world, and if you're on a surf trip or family vacations it's always good to know you can rent a surfboard anywhere there's a gem to be ridden.
