Saving lives with the Irish Tow Surf Rescue Club

June 15, 2016 | Surf Videos

There are many things in Ireland that can be dangerous - Irish whiskey, high, rugged cliffs, and XXL swell traveling from the North Atlantic are some of them.

Peter Conroy is a professional firefighter, but his passion is big waves. Recently, he co-founded the Irish Tow Surf Rescue Club (ITSRC), an organization that aims to improve safety in big wave surfing.

ITSRC trains and shares experiences with jet ski drivers while working closely with the Irish Coast Guard.

So, if Mullaghmore Head is your dream wave, make sure you contact Conroy before paddling out. He will keep you safe in the cold and scary liquid giants of Ireland.
