Lake Tye: waking up the green fields

Phil Soven has won the Monroe stage of the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour 2014, at Lake Tye.

The third event of the Pro Tour forced Soven to beat top players in the wake business such as Rusty Malinoski, Shota Tezuka, Danny Harf, Steel Lafferty and Harley Clifford.

In the end, Phil displayed huge airs coupled with super stylish rail riding and flawless technical maneuvers. It could only be his day.

"I'm happy to walk away with the win. Everyone was riding great all weekend. With only one Pro Tour stop left this season, it's great to have momentum going into the final event," says Phil Soven.

In the Contour Big Air Contest, a crazy specialty event, progressive wakeboarders launched from a ramp to perform massive rotating aerials that are rarely accomplished in a traditional contest setting.

With a huge Indy Glide, Stephen Pierce took the top honors. The last stage of the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour 2014 will be held in Grand Rapids, between August 15th-16th.
