The World Wakeboard Association (WWA) has announced creation of the 2015 Malibu Evolution Pro Series. Malibu's award-winning Wakesetter line will be the official towboat of the tour.

The circuit will feature three stops in Mexico, Japan, and the United States, as well as a $20,000 purse. Riders competing in the Malibu Evolution Pro Series will also be earning points in the overall WWA Wakeboard World Series.

"The last 25 years of the WWA have been incredible. And now, with the Evolution Pro Series and a partner like Malibu Boats that shares our vision, I'm confident that competitive wakeboarding will be alive and well for the next 25 years and beyond," says Shannon Starling, president of the WWA.

The Malibu Evolution Pro Series will focus on quality over quantity, bringing the men and women of the professional wakeboarding circuit together at some of the world's best venues.

"This series is going to be great. We're going back to Cancun, where I won last fall, as well as returning to Japan for the first time in years. It's going to make all of us push harder and raise the competition level," adds pro wakeboarder Dallas Friday.
