Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour: new venues for 2016 | Photo: Supra Boats

The 2016 Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour (SBPWT) will be contested in five new US cities.

The circuit is growing the series from four stops last season, to five stops in 2016. Harley Clifford, winner of the 2015 SBPWT, will return to defend his title, alongside Cory Teunissen, Daniel Powers, Austin Hair, and many more.

"Innovative formats, bigger purses and larger-than-life jumbotrons allowed it to grow outside of its means. The audience, athletes, and sponsorship throughout the tour gave us an overwhelmingly positive response to the product and competition that was on the 2015 calendar," explains Rick Tinker, president of Supra Boats.

The first stop of the 2016 Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour visits the Dallas/Fort Worth region. The metro area plays host to a hotbed of wakeboarding fans.

Lake Norman, in North Carolina, is one of the most active and largest wakeboarding lakes in the nation and is sure to attract a huge flotilla of spectator boats.

Lake Tye in Washington is located in the heart of the wakeboard manufacturing industry near Seattle. Visited a few years back, the fans in the northwest are plentiful, and a huge turnout is expected with the return of the Pro Wakeboard Tour.

The Shalom Park is a man-made, world class water sports site nestled in the North Saskatchewan River Valley, just a few miles south of Edmonton, Canada. This is the first time in over a decade that the PWT returns to Canada.

The final stop of the season is the Precedent Office Park, in Indianapolis. The park presents a world-class 38-acre lake in the heart of the complex.
