Al Forsan International Sports Resort: sunset wakeboarding

The 2012 WWA Wake Park World Championships will hit the Al Forsan International Sports Resort, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from December 6th-8th.

Wakeboarders and wakeskaters from all over the world will be traveling to this fascinating city that seamlessly blends tradition with modern marvels.

"As the second year back to Al Forsan International Sports Resort, the 2012 WWA Wake Park World Championships is going to be one amazing event", underlines Shannon Starling, the WWA President.

"The facility at Al Forsan is the most unique and fun environment to hold an event. There’s just so much activity going on at the park".

Seventeen divisions of pro and amateur riders will compete for top honors at Al Forsan of Abu Dhabi.

The cable area offers two freshwater cable lakes (with clockwise and counterclockwise full cable systems, a two-tower unit and first-of-its-kind filtration system), as well as state-of-the-art equestrian, shooting, go-karting, paintball and fitness venues.

Angelika Schriber has been under the spotlight in 2012 and has already confirmed her presence at the Wake Park World Championships. The "King of Cable" Tom Fooshee is also heading to Al Forsan for the showdown.
