The full schedule for the 2016 Malibu WWA Rider Experience has been released.

The unique amateur wakeboarding circuit returns after a 400 percent increase in participation in the past three years. For 2016, there are four venues locked in for the United States (East, West, Central, and South regions), and a stage in Canada (Quebec).

The World Wakeboard Association (WWA) confirmed that the new Rider Experience season will incorporate the WWA Regional Championship, Judge's Experience, WWA Pro Card Qualifier, Freeride Friday and Surf Gate Sunday experiences.

"The Rider Experience is back by popular demand, and we're thrilled to again have the support of Malibu Boats and their talented roster of professional athletes," said Shannon Starling, president of the WWA.

"Up-and-coming amateur wake athletes are presented with an unprecedented opportunity to showcase and hone their skills with input from some of the best wakeboard athletes on the water. We're less than two months away from the first event of the season, and we can't wait to kick things off!"

Amateur riders will have the opportunity to learn with the stars of wakeboarding while competing among themselves for trophies and prize money. The 2016 Rider Experience will be open to all WWA categories, including the classic Junior Pro Men's division.
