Chris Abadie has taken out the Real Wake Driven by MasterCraft, as part of the "World of X Games."

The talented member of the Shredtown won the all-video wakeboarding contest in which eight riders competed for X Games gold and your hearts. Abadie came away with both your pick for Fan Favorite as well as the first-ever Real Wake gold.

"It was surreal to stand there with the best riders in the world and be announced as the winner. To have the respect from all the other competitors in the real wake event and know that they voted for our video was definitely one of the most humbling moments in my career," underlined Chris Abadie.

The regular-footed Texan submitted a video with Andrew Adams behind the Lens and Davis Griffin on the winch trigger. The result is a dangerous and extreme wakeboarding footage in which Abadie showcases his 15 years of experience.

"There were a few spots in Chris' part where we all wondered if he had lost his mind, but he pulled it off every time in true Abadie form. It's inspiring to watch him step out of his comfort zone because it opens new doors for all of us... that's what progression is all about," revealed Griffin.

"For Real Wake we only had 20 days to film and edit the entire video which was something very unknown to us. However, when you are on such a tight deadline you can really see what you are capable of, and it ended up bringing out the best in each of us. We learned so much from this experience and came away with a lot more than just a gold medal," added Adams. uses cookies to ensure you get the best experience on our website.
