Cory Teunissen claimed the Nautique European Pro/Am 2016 in the stunning spot of Castelo de Bode, near Ferreira do Zezere, in Portugal.

The world's best amateur and professional wakeboarders enjoyed three sunny days of competition in front of an enthusiastic crowd. The sport of wakeboarding is rapidly growing in a country where surfing and bodyboarding are the king and queen of watersports.

In the Pro Men's final, Teunissen had a dream run which included a mute mobe five to the flats. With a score of 92.00, it was enough to smash Mike Dowdy and Tony Iaconni.

"With all the talent that showed up, I'm really pumped that I was able to put together such a solid run to put me on top. I left it all out there, and I'm so happy to take the win. Thank you for another great Wake Series event at such a beautiful location," said Cory Teunissen.

The Women's Pro final saw Meagan Ethell locking in a high score of 84.67, and celebrating a well-deserved win in Portuguese waters. Raimi Merritt and Taylor McCullough closed the podium places.

"It's definitely a treat to come out here to one of Portugal's best spots to ride and put together a winning run. I'm really looking forward to the next Nautique Wake Series stop. No matter where we are, all of the riders are at their best behind the G23," concluded Ethell.

Reed Hansen (Pro Wakeskate), Elliot Digney (Junior Pro Men's), Sascha Gattiker (Men's II), Samuel Lutz (Masters 30-39), Lorenzo Montes de Oca (Junior Men), Alize Piana (Girls 10-13), and Igor Colombo (Boys 10-13) also won trophies in their divisions.
