The World Wake Association (WWA) announced the 2019 WWA Wakeboard World Series (WBWS) schedule.

The competition is comprised of six of the world's most respected event stops in wakeboarding.

The top professional athletes from around the globe will return to a career-defining platform that showcases progression and the sport's elite.

New to this year additional stops have increased their WBWS star level, featuring over $300,000 prize money up for grabs throughout the season.

"The WWA Wakeboard World Series (WBWS) is a series of the world's most respected events that bring everyone in wakeboarding together behind the world's best boats," commented WWA Executive Director Corrie Wilson.

"As we are celebrating WWA's 30th anniversary, paired with the insane offseason runs we've seen on social media, the 2019 season is setting up to be unlike anything we've seen before."

Six Power Stages

The WWA WBWS and Nautique Wake Series 2019 season kicked off in March with the Nautique Moomba Masters in Melbourne, Australia, the world's most spectated watersports event.

The event saw quite the shakeup proving that the upcoming season is going to be one of the most competitive seasons to date.

Stop two will bring riders to the world's most prestigious event held at the legendary Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, for the 60th Nautique Masters Waterski & Wakeboard Tournament, over Memorial Day Weekend.

Riders will have the chance to earn a Masters invitation at Nautique Masters Wakeboard LCQ, in Florida, held at the Orlando Watersports Complex on April 27.

Stop three will bring us back to the good old Tennessee River for the Malibu Factory Smoky Mountain Pro, now a WWA-WBWS 4-star event.

Stop four will land in the Pacific Northwest at Monroe, WA for the Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships from July 24-27.

The series will then head to Cologne, Germany for stop five, Eat Play Love, a new one to the world-renowned list of stops.

The Grand Finale

The sixth and final stop will take riders and families to the stunning tropical paradise of Playa del Carmen, in Mexico, for the Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships.

For the first time, the Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships will join the WWA Wake Park World Championships for an epic weekend with the world's most elite field of athletes, from October 17-20, at the Mayan Water Complex.

The final stop of the season will crown WWA World champions, Nautique Wake Series Overall champions and WWA Wakeboard World Series overall champions.
