Fuerteventura Wave Classic

Today was a strange day with wind changing direction since early morning, not much swell and a bit of rainshowers.

At 2pm, all the teams were here in El Cotillo for a security briefing done by the Syrcanarias rescue staff.

The riders have been pretty attentive because we expect some big waves on friday and if action happens around Puertito, we all must be really attentive about security rules and know how a rescue can be operated with a Jetski with a "slide" (platform boogie).

Some riders then went around Puertito, just for cruising and to see how the spot looked like as there was some North wind in the area. The wind was well oriented and the swell was picking up, but not enough to allow a cool session. Furthermore, rainshowers arrived on the spot.

A small group finally went surfing in the waves of Cotillo's beach till the end of afternoon.

Tomorrow, we should cruise around Corralejo's spots, Lobos or "Bristol" as the forecast announced a NW wind with pumping North swell.

When you reach the "End of the Road," you're all by yourself. Are you sure you're ready to get barreled at Tahiti's infamous Teahupoo?
