JP Young Guns Classic

Following the resounding success of the 2008 YGC, which saw 55 Scandinavian young guns make the pilgrimage to Klitmøller in Denmark, the 2009 event aims to become an even bigger and better affair.

Taking place between the 11th to the 18th of October, the organisers are hoping for 80-100 young guns to attend the event, which has opened its doors to the international windsurfing community for 2009, allowing a global crowd of kids and their families to mix and mingle.

The aim of the YGC is for windsurfing’s youth to socialise and learn together, with the added option to compete in wave, freestyle and slalom contests over the week. The level of sailing covers everything from those wanting to get to grips with the harness, right through to looping and wave riding.

Also in attendance will be JP / NeilPryde team rider and 3 x World Wave Champion, Kauli Seadi, who’ll be on hand to offer tips, advice and clinics throughout the event.

If you’d like to find out more about the JP Young Gun Classic, keep an eye on the JP-Australia website or contact Torben Kornum.
