Jacopo Testa has been crowned the 2017 European Freestyle Pro Tour (EFPT) champion.

The Italian windsurfer from Sardinia confirmed the European title at the Dam-X, in Brouwersdam, Netherlands. Testa, 25, won two season events and finished third in other two EFPT stages.

On the women's side, Sarah-Quita Offringa was crowned the queen of European freestyle windsurfing with yet another flawless run in the winds of the Old Continent.

"It as another great event at the Dam-X. A big thank you to the organizers and EFPT crew for an 'ambient- filled couple of days! I am happy to take the European freestyle title home!" expressed the athlete from Aruba.

Unfortunately, the PWA World Tour has set new rules that prohibit their sailors from competing in all the upcoming 2018 EPFT events, so many riders like Amado Vrieswijk, Steven Van Broeckhoven, and Sarah-Quita Offringa will be out of circuit next year.
