RS:X Class

The 2009 RS:X Asian Windsurfing Championships will take place at the Aoneiwan Sail Center in Haimeng, Shantou, [Guangdong] China.

Participants are scheduled to arrive on December 14th and depart on the 24th.

Taking place at the same time will be the Techno 293 national championships.

A limited amount of charter equipment will be available and coach boats can be chartered [200USD per day]

The organisers have selected the Longhu Hotel to accommodate all the athletes and coaches.

This is the first international star hotel in East Guangdong which has offered a room rate of 70USD including transfers from the airport, breakfast, lunch and dinner and daily return transfers to the Aoneiwan Sail Center.

Rob Bain, Layne Beachley, and Dave Macaulay have taken out the Azores Airlines World Masters Championship in the Grand Masters, Women's Masters and Men's Masters divisions held in good three-foot surf at Praia de Santa Barbara.
